Bottle from Cork & Cask. Hazy golden body with an off-white head that holds well. Lively carbonation. Aroma of green apple, rhubarb and lemon. Flavour of bitter lemon and green apple peel. Thin to medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Very fizzy. Bright and juicy. This is in great condition. The flavour is nice but not the most complex; the aroma is very welcoming.

Well stored bottle. Slightly unclear golden body under a small white head. Nice, funky aroma. Nothing feels like dominating above any other, mild pale malt, light citric fruity, hint of wood, dry grass and smooth acid. Taste has the same incredible integrated mix of elements, smooth and soft malt, mild acidic citric fruit, wood, hay, funk. Feels both sweet and acidic. Balanced body as well. A really nice and well composed Geuze. I think you might need to understand how Geuze is made to really appreciate the subtle complexity because there is no big names or arty farty tricks going on here – just pure craft in combination with knowledge from generations.

(Bottle, 2017 vintage) Deep golden colour, slightly hazy, with foamy white head. Fruity, sourish nose with yellow apples, gooseberries, lemon, oak wood, horse blanket, hay, a touch of brett and herbs. Fruity, tart taste with notes of apples, gooseberries, lemon, hay, oak wood, barnyard and a dry finish with a fresh citric acidity. Low bitterness. Light body, dry. Fresh and tasty, with a good citric acidity combined with a mild wood character. Very nice.

Poured from 375mL bottle (2017 vintage). Clear-ish gold with small white head. Lots of funk, really nice subtle complexities, surprisingly nice bottle at a decent price. Nice finish to the night.
