Tap at WvhNLB2016 @ Grote Kerk, Den Haag. Dark brown almost black, light tan head. Sweet and syruppy, roasted chocolate malts, old coffee, licorice and parfume. Medium sweet, light chocolate bitter. Medium body, slick feel, low carbonation. Bit tinny, bit vague vegetal/parfume licorice aroma. --- Beer merged from original tick of Stout----------------- on 21 Nov 2017 at 22:21 - Score: 6. Draft at The Hague beer festival. Near black with a small tan head. Aroma of roast, coffee, chocolate, cocoa, toffee and a strange light chlorine off note. Flavour is above moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Tap at De Pelgrim. Black with quite big tan head. Dried red berries and cranberries, dark chocolate, quite some licorice, dried plums, some ash. Actually this is quite fruity with the roasted notes just barely in the foreground. Medium sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied with creamy carbonation. Lovely mouthfeel.

Sample, on tap at the brewpub. Clear, very dark reddish brown to black with a thin, creamy, tan head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of chocolate, toffee, nuts and coffee. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty taste of dark chocolate, coffee beans, caramel, burnt nuts and hints of raisins, followed by a medium long, roasty-bitter finish. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, flat. Nice!

Bottle at Terras De Engel, Markthal, the indoor market stall in the futuristic building behind Blaak station Rotterdam, Saturday 14th March 2015 in company of Dad & Barry Black on the pour with a smattering of beige bubbles. Nutty on the nose and a little nutty and showing a bit of booziness in the mouth, also soft. Roasty and bitter a touch of coffee also little dry, lingers in mouth. A little rough around the edges but fine, ok. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Sampled at PINT Winterbierfestival Gouda, 2015. Dark brown color with a dark red glare coming through when held into the light, medium sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, some roast, a hint of red fruits, decently bitter. Decent body and carbonation.
