Bottle from Gwin Llyn Wines, Pwllheli. Dark brown with a thick frothy head. Dark beer with a heavy floralness, with some roasted malt including chocolate notes behind the aforementioned. (The bottle was 10 months out of date - perhaps this wasn't quite in tip-top condition when drank).

Bottle shared in Hackney - big thanks to Danboy. Pours deep brown with a creamy, light tan head. The aroma holds burnt brown bread, a little cocoa, soft roast, dried dark berries. Light sweet flavour with subtly tangy dark fruits, nips of plastic, earthy bitterness, vague cocoa. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with more vague cocoa, earthy hops, toasted leaves. So so.

500ml bottle from a shop in Pembrokeshire, shared with Mike. Pours deep dark brown with beige head. Mirage-like caramel choc aroma. Rather fizzy mouthfeel with little chocolate coming through. Mild grains but a bit thin and watery. Not the best I’ve had from this brewery.
