440ml can. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a mostly lasting fizzy tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, dark chocolate and caramel. The flavour is moderate sweet, light liqourice bitter, with a silky smooth, rich, roasty, chocolate, earthy, herbal, dry coffee, liqourice bitter palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation. Super tasty but a touch light for me and with lots of initial carbonation which didn’t impress.

On tap at The Rusty Bucket, Eltham. Black pour with a tan head. Heavy chocolaty nose, splash of coffee, raisin, black treacle. Heavy dark chocolate taste, sweet coffee, cookie dough, touch of smoke. Subtle alcohol burn. Thick malty sweet warming finish. Lovely!

440ml can. Pitch black with the thinnest of tan heads. Aroma of cocoa, roasted malts. Taste is very rich, enormous quantities of cocoa, coffee, roasted malts, dry and bitter, not too boozy. Full bodied, smooth. Superb.

Tap at The Hive Crowthorne, 18th September 2021. Pours thick and black. Aroma has chocolate and cocoa, coffee. Taste is smooth, loads of chocolate, sweet and rich, some complexity to it and pretty drinkable, it so great in the September sun though
