Cask at Bird in Hand, Stafford. Pours βbitter brownβ with a small foamy off-white head and good lacing. A gentle aroma has hints of malts, hops and oranges. In the mouth it is slightly sweet and fruity with a smooth creamy texture. Flavours are malts and traditional hops with hints of marmalade and berry fruits coming later. A little dryness in the finish. This is a decent old school bitter.

3/5/2026. Bottle at the ITFC Promotion Party (2026) beer share. From Beer Park, Llanelli. Nice colour pour. Aroma is malty, caramel, hedgerow, berries. Medium sweet, moderate bitterness, light sourness. Veggie notes. Foamy carbonation.

Bottle from Stori. Appearance - amber with pleasant lacing. Nose - dried orange, brown bread. Taste - candied orange, edge of raisins. cake mixture. Palate - close to medium bodied. Creamy and crunchy through middle and finish. Overall - good example of the style.

Bottle from Isobel (cheers Isobel!) shared with Craig, consumed Wednesday 10th August 2016, Pours amber with a slim white head, ok so itβs a fruity traditional bitter, however it is really quite pleasant. Not bad at all. A6 A4 T7 P4 OV13 3.4
