Draught at the Brauhaus on a freezing early evening on 19th Jan 2014. Pours a misty/cloudy, mucky brown, the head a creamy covering of uneven foam. Caramel notes lead the way in this malty brew with a mild chocolate note or two in both the aroma and taste. Traces of fruitiness and biscuits can also be found as the beer level drops in the glass. The body let the side down a little, leaning towards thin and watery, but typical of the style I suppose. All in all not a bad beer, it was fresh and hadn’t travelled far, I was sat next to the lagering tank!

Beer No. 46 on my tour through Austria, Germany and Denmark.
Dark brown coloured, small pale beige head, some caramel in the nose. Pretty weak roasted malt and caramel taste with not much of hops. Sweetish watery finish. Had better.

Draught@"Brauhaus in Spandau". Dark hazy nut brown color, good creamy beige head, some lace. Malty, caramelly and a bit toasted aroma. A bit fizzy carbonation. Caramelly, straw/grassy hops. Bitterness in the aftertaste. Balanced and tasty, one of the best brewpub beers I had in Berlin.

Draught at the brewpub
Cloudy brown color, big creamy head. Some malt aroma and taste, quite round mouthfeel, ending with caramel and stronger bitterness. Too cold and not exciting.
