Vom Faß im Restaurant Zur Gerichtslaube, Berlin. - Tiefdunkel, reichlich graubrauner Schaum. - Angenehm dunkelmalzig und kräftig malzsüß, beinahe zu süß aber geschickt abgeschmeckt mit dezenten Röstaromen und einem Hauch Fruchtigkeit. Mild rezent, vollmundig. Kaum bitter. - Gut trinkbar aber ohne besonderes Interesse.

Draught: Literally black with a faint ruby sheen; clean sweetish toasty-toasty nose with a decent touch of black currant; light to medium bodied, slightly drier sweet and bitter flavor; both malty sweetness and malty bitterness in the mildly lingering finish. Not bad, indeed…

(Draught at Zur Gerichtslaube, Berlin, 23 July 2014) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate, caramel and dark bread. Malty, roasted taste with caramel, chocolate, coffee, burnt sugar and a gentle bitterness. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Tasty but not very complex. Quite enjoyable.
