Son arôme doux et velouté nous conduit vers une saveur agréablement houblonnée et boisée.

Elle libère en fond de bouche un goût très fin amer voire fumé et alcoolisé.

[9/21/15] Draught at Le Trappiste in Bruges. Clear amber. Aroma of lots of butter, caramel, fruitiness. Sweet flavor with caramel, butter, fruitiness. Medium-bodied. Really buttery and sweet. Awful.

330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Stokmarknes, shared with Edit. Huge off-white head leaving spotty lacing behind. Bright and clear golden-brown body. Sweet aroma of brown malts joined by a fruity touch. Flavoured with caramel, raisin, and candi sugar. Integrated alcohol. Well bodied. Tasty, rather too much sweetness in the long run (21.07.2015).

Helder lichtbruin bier zonder schuim. Smaak is zoet en sterk, hoppig, anijs, drop en caramel. Erg goed, smaak blijft lang hangen, klasse!

On tap at PreFunk. Thick and syrupy, heady malt aroma, slightly spicy, a bit of alcohol burn. Slow going on this one, not a quick quaff. Bets to sip slowly and savor all of the essences.

0,33L bottle (from Wine of Galilee), BB 2016. Pours dark amber with off white head. The head stays for a moment. Aroma is sweet, vinous, fruits, caramel, some alcohol. Flavor is very sweet and very bitter, caramel, a lots of alcohol. Finish is toffee bitter. Overall: I’m not a fan of very sweet, very bitter and very boozy brews. As it warms up, I like it less and less...

Draught @ Le Trappiste, Brugge. Pours slightly hazy amber with small off-white head. Clear, sweet aroma of caramel malt, yeast and fruit, with subtle hoppy touches. Sweet flavour of caramel malt with fruity notes and estery touches. Hints of hops and citrus but just that. Rough and estery finish. Well, I am definitely not a fan of Silly beers, but this one is actually okay; perhaps too sweet, though.

Classic Belgian-style barley wine since 1989. A peach blonde ale with off-white, not very stable head and caramelly malty character adorned with orange peel, almond, figues, cognac, herbal hops, warming alcohol in the finish. Overall a bit too sweet, even a bit cloying, but still a very tasty beer.
