Bottle, ABV 7.5%, at RBNAG 2009 in Vatlandsvåg. Reddish brown colour, moderate head. The aroma has notes of brown malts, caramel, dark dried fruits and oak, quite nice. The flavour has brown malts and rye bread, a little caramel and oak, not very sweet. The mouthfeel is a bit thin for a beer of this strength.

Barwa złota w kierunku brązu. Piana niezbyt obfita za to ładnie oblepia szkło. Aromat słodowy, słodki, lekka nuta charakterystyczna dla włoskich piw gdy jest zimne. W smaku lekka paloność od słodu. Goryczka raczej niska. Alkohol świetnie ukryty. Bardzo pijalne.

Bottle from CIBI E Vini, Copenhagen - dark amber pour with thin white head. Aroma and taste comprises toasty bready malts, sweet caramel, light faint spice, grassy hoppy, pretty boring and bland again like the last two menabrea brews. Disappointing.

Leicht malziger Antrunk, das Aroma wird geringer mit der Zeit. Wenig würzig, süffig, wenig herb. Zum Ende wieder malziger, süffig, unspannend. 9/9/9/9//9

Samples from 660 ml. bottles. Dark amber colour with a medium sized, off-white head. Sweet aroma with caramel and bread malts, fruits and a spicy note. Taste is sweet. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Finishes sweet with spices, fruits and caramel malts, only a hint of hops. The spiciness is rather odd for this type of beer, and there is not much to get exited about.
