KI=5

Dark, almost black color with a brown head. Roasted malt, chocolate and of course coffee (espresso) in aroma. The same in the flavor. Body was medium.

Draft. A very dark brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has strong notes of coffee and roasted malt as well as medium notes of espresso beans and malt. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of espresso as well as medium notes of roasted malt and sweet malt, and light notes of soy sauce, leading to a dry coffee finish.

Draught, served at a fine drinking temperature at De Klomp in Linköping, Sweden. Near-black body under a minimal, off-white head. Dark and rather sweet coffee malts to the nose. Coffee grounds in flavour mixed with quick hints of bitter, dark fruits towards the ending. The perfect drink after a great mussel buffet at the pub. Enjoyed in a happy atmosphere 02.09.2009.

Bottle 33cl.Clear medium to dark black color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, burnt, chocolate, strong coffee. Flavor is light heavy chocolate sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to ’medium to full’, texture is oily and sticky, carbonation is soft. Very big flavor but easy to drink ;O) [20090614]

Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours very dark brown with a miniscule tan head. Smells like coffee. Full bodied with smooth, creamy carbonation. Flavor is not quite espresso. Flavors of dark burnt malt and coffee. Lots of coffee. Finish is smooth, slightly, lightly bitter with lots of coffee.

The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Deep black, small brown head. Aroma of a good Imperial Stout. Starts malty-strong, modest dry. Notes of liquorice and coffee follow, not too intense. Also notes of plum. Finish is a little bit sourish, but well balanced. Really good! Big thanks to Todeon for the bottle!

Bottle. Thanks to Omhper. Fragrant, with aromas of coffee and chocolate. Nicely balanced, though the slightly sour flavor of coffee beans is a bit too strong. High sourness and bitterness. Overall, very nice.
