Vestfyen Classic is a slightly darker and more full-bodied beer, compared with the Vestfyen Pilsner, and brewed with the same good raw materials. Vestfyen Classic thus constitutes an excellent alternative as companion to the classic Danish lunch table.
Vestfyen Classic was launched at the beginning of 1997 and, at a very early stage, it proved to be popular. Today it is a natural element in the assortment.

(Bottle 33 cl) Beautiful amber colour with a fine, small head. Quite malty and lightly sweetish with a very subdued bitterness. 090304

A light amber beer with an OK beige head. The aroma is sour and hoppy - must be the use of brewing cereal - I think this is what is called skunky. The flavor is slightly sweet to start off, then brewing cereal sour - a little like vitamin c, combined with notes of metal. And the body is thin.

A golden beer with no head. The aroma is sweet malty with hints of caramel. The flavor is dry hoppy with notes of caramel.

An orange beer with no head. The aroma is perfumated and sweet. The flavor is very malty and brewmashy with a bit sourness from the corn it is brewed on. Slightly watery - but a very average pilsner.

Not much aroma. Plenty big head disappearing quickly. Weissbier-like first impression. But mellow malt flavour and smooth mouthfeel. Aftertaste not overly bitter, but OK. Very good for a "classic" type lager.

Gets an extra point for the color, but the head disappears as soon as it's poured. The discount taste is slightly more malty than the ordinary Vestfyen lager, but still screams maize.

Golden coloured. Fairly clean, relatively dry and unusually bitter for a Danish lager. Plain but refreshing.
