Haze Against the Dying of the Light is a Double IPA utilizing a distinctive blend of fruit-forward hops. Pouring a hazy yellow, with a bloom of sticky white foam, tropical aromas lift out of the glass. Citra bursts with notes of Valencia orange and candied grapefruit peel, melding with apricot and resinous pine notes from Idaho 7. Vista hops lend sweet aromas of honeydew melon and bright green tea.

Can (11/20/25) from trade with CLW--thanks, Chris! Opaque yellow with some large yeast chunks, tons of sparkle, thick head with excellent retention, webs of lacing. Aroma is strong orange, grapefruit, citrus. Taste is strong citrus, grape, malt. Smooth, creamy texture, soft carbonation, light alcohol warmth, dry, yeasty, malty finish with mild fruit. Good strength, decent complexity.

16 oz can. Aroma reminds me of herb and kumquat blended together. Thankfully, in the flavor of the herb is almost not found. Malt background is bready and honey. Flavor shows a significant amount of citrus fruit. Orange, bitter grapefruit, and rind. Lots of juicy character with just a hint of bitterness. Quite good!

Pours a hazy, orange-pineapple, with mid-sized, lasting cap of frothy, white head. Aroma is a combination of bright, juicy citrus and some tropical fruit notes. Flavors follow, though a bit less pronounced. Soft mouthfeel. Moderate hop bitterness in the finish.

Charlton draught, 2/24/25.
Standard brass-maize-golden. Medium-sized, white head, good retention.
"Dank" with almost a kiss of watermelon character. Touch of light earth and black tea on the finish. Strong lemongrass lingering, as well. Moist biscuit and mild white bread easily balance from the malt.
Big burst of maltiness and marijuana-like character with more easygoing black tea, big honey-like malts and lemongrass through the middle. Ends on lemon, tea-like spice and random citrus juice. Malts are quite sweet here, moreso than usual. Even the strong spicy dryness barely keep them at bay...bit of syrupy sweetness lingering, even.
