Yellow Snow was originally launched as an American Pale Ale in 2013, when the entirety of the Netherlands was still drinking only piss pilsners and IPA was still pronounced as ee-pa. We have transformed this Uiltje classic into a DIPA with an extra punch of Amarillo CGX (cryo hops). Expect passion fruit, grapefruit and a dash of ginger. So no, don't EAT the yellow snow. But DRINK the Yellow Snow!

Flavour palette: Citrus, ginger and tropical
Delicious with: Spareribs, rib-eye and blue cheese
Best at temperature: 4-5 degrees Celsius

Levendig troebel donkergeel bier met schuim. Smaak is bitterzoet en fruitig met iets van mango, honig, wat sinaasappel, ananas en wat vanille.

12 April 2025. At LOC Brewery, Tilburg. Cheers to mom, dad & Anke!

Biscuit, honey, mango, dank grapefruit. Sweet mango, biscuit, bitter grapefruit. Bitter resinous hops, quite harsh and brown-soapy. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. No smoothness nor balance, very harsh.

Can at home, courtesy of Marko. Pours semi clear golden with basically no head. On the nose it’s got loads of citrus zest, grass, light cardboard and a firm touch of booze. Flavour is some sweetness upfront, honey and alcohol, then takes a grassy-dank dry and bitter turn. Finishing on loads of booze, light sweetness and a medium-dry finish. It’s got a light body and soft carbonation. I could see where this was going but frankly it’s quite rough around the edges.

Keg at 'If It Ain't Dutch'. Clear deepish gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Light palate, semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Light malts, a modest sweetness. Crisp pine. Decent juicy hop fruits, slightly floral, some candy fruits. Mild peel. Crisp finish. Nicely fruity.

Keg at It Ain't Much If It Ain't Dutch, Enid Street, 24/01/2025.
Pale golden blonde topped with an off white head.
Nose is mellow tropical fruits, tangerine, papaya, soft malts.
Taste comprises grapefruit, ripe melon, orange zest, light perfume.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with light juicy hop bittreness.
Okay if a little pedestrian for a close to 9% DIPA.
