Dark opaque brown color, beige head. Aroma of burnt espresso. Taste is roasty dark coffee. Pleasant.

Pour is a thin black with a small tan head. Aroma is a decent roasted oat with a bit of char thrown in for good measure. Flavor is a nice roast and char malt all around. Maybe a bit too thin but the roast and charred oat leave a nice flavor on the tongue. Pretty nice oatmeal stout. Plenty of roasted oat flavor with being over the top. Alcohol is hidden quite nice as well.

Bottle shared at Craig’s. Vintage c. 2008. Pours deep brown with a creamy beige head. The nose has some faded toast, light apple. Light sweet flavor with tangy burnt wood, leathery berries, earth, cherry. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Oily. Tangy dark malts in the finish, further tangy berries, old wood. So so.

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours black, nose is light roast chocolate, taste is sour, light chocolate.

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Aromas of light toffee, liquorice. Taste is light sweet, oatmeal, light roast, light acetone probably due to age.

Bottle courtesy of Saxo/HenrikSoegaard, 7%. Very dark brown with small head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and a little liquorice. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, liquorice, medium sweet, oat and hop.

Bottle 7 ABV. Creamy lightbrown excellent mostly lsting head. Black colour. Heavy malty and light hoppy aroma. Chocolate notes. Moderate bitter flavor with nice chocolate/lactose notes. Long moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate.

Bottle courtesy of Saxo/HenrikSoegaard. 7 % ABV. Hazy dark very reddish brown with an small off-white head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and dark chocolate. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Dry and roasted light bitter finish. 211212

Bottle 7% abv. Nice creamy head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, lactose, chocolate, coffee and hops.

Clear but very dark red-brown beer. Thin tan head. Crispy dry palate. Surprisingly tart. Not getting any oatmeal smoothness. Very lightly smoked malt. Tangy cola. Too tangy for me - was expecting something much smoother.
