Pigs Ear. Clear gold beer. Light dry palate. Reasonable hops but they are bitter and then there is a little smoke. A bit of weird mix.

Cask gravity at Pig’s Ear BF 09. After having the Holmfirth IPA at the Market Porter I warned people not to buy this, but they didn’t listen. Pale gold, thin white head. Rubbish, but hoppy rubbish. I mean it’s like the brewer has got the ingredients of a beer what doesn’t know how to turn it into the finished product.

(Cask at Ship & Mitre, Liverpool, 19 July 2009) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity nose with notes of citrus, grassy hops and citrus peel. Fruity taste with citrus, grass and fresh hops in the finish. A decent blond ale with a fruity hop character.

Cask (handpump) @ Bar Fringe, Manchester, England. @ [ RBESG 09 ]. Golden yellow, medium lacing white head. Citric hops. Sour fruity notes. Fail. Tasted more like a bad blond than a bitter.
