Red as named with a sweetshop start of sugary sweet fruits with citrus centres. Malt is elbowed aside by the hops which dominate the tongue tickling bitter end.

(Cask at Market Porter, Southwark, London, 21 May 2010) Reddish amber colour with brief, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of dried fruit and red berries. Malty, fruity taste with red berries, dried fruit, toffee and a mild, spicy bitterness. Medium body, with some sweetness. Tasty and well balanced, but hardly exciting.

Gravicask, half pint on the second day of London Drinker BF 08. Dark brown body without head. Some notes of hop resin in aroma. Brittle caramel and a touch of roastiness in taste. Yeasty ending - maybe a bit unfinished (13.03.2008).
