A tribute to one of Europe’s most classic brews, Vienna Lager is a bottom-fermented amber colored beer with a clean, mild taste. Delicate hopping leaves ample room for stylish notes of caramel and a slightly roasted aroma thanks to the use of the homonym roasted malts. Although not light on the alcohol side, it’s an easy beer to drink.

Clear amber color and a off-white head. Slightly roasted malt with caramel-nutty taste. Nice hoppy balance.

Pours an almost perfectly transparent dark amber, with just a hint of quickly dissipating off-white head. Delicate, clean but very subdued aroma shows caramel, slight toasted malt and a hint of hazelnut. Taste follows the aroma, now brighter. Caramel and slightly toasted malts, hazelnut, a hint of dried red fruits. Nicely clean. Medium to high sweetness and medium to low bitterness, with a sweet but still clean finish. Light to medium bodied with low to medium carbonation (possibly a tad too low, maybe related to the lack of head), resulting in a simple smooth mouthfeel. A nicely drinkable beer, but not more than just that. Possibly a not too lucky bottle that lacks a bit in character/carbonation.

Pours dark ruby amber. Small, nearly no white head. Smell is bready, tad sweet, mild fruity, hints of caramelly malts. Taste is surprisingly bitter, especially for only 16 IBU. Some oxidation, which is not out of the ordinary since this is an imported beer, less than 1 month from it's best by date. Caramelly, sweet maltyness takes over the total towards the end , finishing as a very malty beer. Quite enjoyable, still. must be even better when fresh.

330ml bottle. Minimally milky, amber colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Malty, minimally vegetable-spicy aroma with a touch of dried tomato. Taste is slightly fruity hoppy, malty with a touch of malt-spiciness, a touch of dried tomato again, hints of mirabelle and physalis; smooth and soft palate, gentle carbonation.

From the tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours a beautiful reddish brown, with white foam, very fine. Aroma is malty and caramel. Body is fairly light and well carbonated. Taste is sweet but without excesses. Some residual bitterness, but subtle. Finish is average, with sweetness sticking around.
