A traditional Scottish malty beer, finely balanced with aroma hops. This copper coloured beer achieves a fullness of flavour and body from the wide range of speciality malts used in the mash (6 different malts) and the high mash temperature, which results in some unfermentable sugars remaining in the finished beer. These beers are always fermented with a Scottish yeast.

Third of a cask pint at the Scottish Real Ale Festival in Edinburgh’s Corn Exchange on 7th July 2017. Dark mahogany body, beige topping. The aroma reminded me of Vimto, then Dandelion and Burdock. The taste was all about the semi-sweet malts, really enjoyed this.

Flavour of lightly roasted malt, brown sugar, prunes and a grassy finish. Light bitterness. Thin to medium body with a watery texture. A really good example of the style.
