Notre Cappuccino Imperial Stout fait son grand retour. Un Stout tout en rondeur avec une belle grosse dose de lactose en fin d'ébu, un triple ajout de café de qualité supérieure et une touche de vanille pour la douceur.

(Draft at La Source Taproom, Brussels, 20 Sep 2025) Black colour with brief, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with milky coffee, chocolate and hazelnuts. Malty, roasted taste with notes of coffee, chocolate, nuts, nougat and a balanced roasty bitterness in a finish with a light alcohol bite. Full body, quite sweet. Fairly smooth and mellow for its strength. Deceptively so. Well balanced. Very nice.

Sampled at Billies, day 2. Opaque pitch black, small light brown colored head. Nice malt and coffee espresso dominating the aroma and flavor. Decent bitterness, but also some sweet notes come through. Not bad at all but a full bottle would be a challenge I think. 8-8-7,5-7-7,5

F: big, tanned, good retention.
C: black, opaque.
A: rich roasted tones, a lot of coffee, cocoa, chocolate, lactic, dark fruits, vanilla.
T: full malty base, roasted tones, coffee, herbal, chocolate, spicy, vanilla, bit berries, lactic, nice balanced long lasting bitterness, medium carbonation, I like bitterness yet with connection with roasted is bit too much, enjoyed yet not great.

Brune foncée tirant pas mal sur le noix, col léger café au lait, le tout avec un léger filament huileux doré au verre.
Arôme sur un bouquet chargé en notes maltées - grosse dose de grillé / toasté et torréfié, pointe de chocolat noir
Palais présente une belle profondeur au niveau des malts - grillé et toasté avec un savoureux caractère d'onctusoité d'espresso avec presque une sensation de lactose. Le tout rehaussé par un malt quasi crystal.
Fruité noir et sec discret en fin de bouche - bien faite sans pour cela tomber dans le gros stout américain.
