Draught@HBF2016. Hazy brown colour with a mediumsized foaming beige head. Aroma is sweet malts, roasted notes, coffee and some chocolate along with mild vanilla. Flavour is roasted malts, some nutty and chocolaty notes with mild chocolate cake as well as some mild vanilla to it. Smooth and like a dessert.

malty sweet, fairly heavy and it does comes across as a wonderful but warm ice cream in your mouth.

Pours very dark brown, small, nearly no head. Scent is roasty, mild ashy, relatively light. Taste is fairly full. Roasty, mild ashy, bit bitterness. Mild sweetness, cocoa bitterness. Bit too arteficial. Tastes like chocolate ice cream indeed, not chocolate

Can from my brother for pandemic Christmas, thanks for the moral support! Brown with a fluffy cloud-like head on ginormous size. Bitter roasted malt nose, a whiff of chocolate malt but not cacao. Impressive chocolate reminiscent notes on the tongue despite no cacao in the ingredients, is that right? Well hops aren't listed there either so I'm doubtful of the details 😉. Smooth, a bit of coffee roast note, crisp clear bitterness on the aftertaste. An excellent winter evening brown ale!

Keg at Buxton Taphouse, Buxton, 15/09/20. Almost black with a well presented Mr Whippy cap that stays for the show ... looker ! Nose is chocolate, vanilla, mellow roast, light nutty tones. Taste comprises chocolate ice cream, sweetish roast, light coffee, bitter roast edge, cocoa powder. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Fun novelty beer but drinks well.
