previously tested on German BTO 05/2007: Dunkelgelb, schäumt schön. Süßlich-malzig, ansatzweise fruchtig. Etwas herb und insgesamt würzig. Gut.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts spicy and strong, turns then alcoholic and sourish. Unbalanced finish. Not so good!

Bottled. A golden beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet malty, and so is the flavor with an added dusty hop note.

Bottle. Quite fruity nose on this clear, golden beer with a minimal white head. Some caramel, sugar and a little hop-note as well in the aroma. Sweetish and fruity flavor with a little hoppy bitterness towards the end. It is a sweet beer, without much warming alcohol, and a body that’s too thin to lead my thoughts to winter beers. Not a bad beer though. (071212)

(Bottle 50 cl) Clear, amber golden with a dense, off-white head. Sweetish and clean malt aroma. Medium-bodied, a little low in carbonation with clean, malty accents and an edge of caramel. Almost no bitterness. Soft and pleasant. 180907

Test vom 22.8.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,10,11,11,9,11

Orange-foxy beer, clear, with a medium, collapsing, faint-yellow tinted head. Vanilla & toast initially, greenery and more toast afterwards, even a touch of caramel & arachide. Bit toasted, faint fruity flavours, lemonade-like, giving a lightly sourish impression. Retronasal soft-sweeter with a bit of malts or white bread. Warming up, agian more toast, sweet. Watery texture. Despite little visible carbonation, titillating tonguefeel, CO². That’s going to be the fest! Anybody got a Doppelbock?
