Bottle. Deep amber, golden foam. Cookie malt aroma overlaid by some aromatic hops, unfortunately a light papery note as well. Honeyish malt base, sweet and filling, light minerally, subdued bitterness. Mellow mouthfeel. Light herbal and honey exit.

(swing top bottle) Clear golden colour with a mid-sized foamy white head. Sweet malty nose with honey. Initially sweet malty, slightly toasted, with a malty and light bitter, hoppy and quite thin finish. Boring and not what I call a Christmas-Beer.

Swing-top bottle: Deep golden coloured, big fluffy head, slowly diminishing; (sweetish-) malty nose with a tinge of cardboard and honey; slightly sweetish malty start, becoming slowly drier; faint bitter-sweet flavour; slightly sweetish-malty finish with a tinge of hops from far behind. A weak Fest-Bier, pretty watery for a brew of 6.0% ABV...............!
