We had the honour of hosting one of our dearest pals Dave from Lervig based in the beautiful little city of Stavanger. We met Dave many moons ago at a well known beer festival in London, and we’ve remained friends ever since. So it was about time we invited him over to Edinburgh!

This beer is a super sessionable 4% pale ale hopped with Nelson Sauvin and Citra. Keeping the base malt simple and just making it all about the hops.

Stavanger is a place we’ve held very dear to us over the years as we’ve visited many times to attend What’s Brewing, my favourite beer festival of all time. A quiet and quaint little city that has the cosiest yet some of wildest nights out.

Many of our closest friendships in beer have blossomed through this festival. And although What’s Brewing no longer is a thing, the memories (what’s left of them) will live on ?

Can at home picked up from HOTM. An almost clear pale gold yellow coloured pour with a decent white cap. Aroma is pale bready grains, pine needles, fragrant pine, lemon balm, melon melon balls. Flavour is composed of super crisp, light grains, chalky, lemon rind, dry pine tips, grass. Good firm bitterness. Palate is super crisp, drying finish, high spritzy carbonation. Drinks pretty good.

Can direct from the brewery. It pours w pretty clear bright golden - yellow with a fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh, fragrant, bright floral vibes, aromatic, honeysuckle, orange blossom, some stone fruits, apricot and the like, hearty bready malts, snappy biscuit and a touch of grass. The taste is firmly dry, super crispy, snappy, pleasing
and lingering bitterness, clean malt base, peppery spice, straw, floral vibes, summer meadow, gin botanicals, bread, biscuit and dull pine with a dry finish. Average body and moderate, prickly carbonation. Super crispy and clean. Very chuggable and moreish.
