Backlog October 2009. Reddish brown body under a dense off-white head. Aroma has strong caramel scent with malt and resin. Taste is sweet and malty with caramel, marmalade and quite bitter. Medium body with a sweet and bitter aftertaste. A bit unbalanced in-between and IIPA and a Barley wine I think.

10 cl glass fra fladske på Tap1, mai-14: en kompetent sak, tydelig amerikanskinspirert i utførelsen. Fin balance, og god fylde med humle og maltsødme i rikt monn.

Bottle @ Home. Pours dark dark reddish golden with a dense white head. Aroma of caramel, sweet malt, sweet fruity hops, peach and apricot. Taste is caramel, malt, sweet fruit, grapefruit. Medium body, soft carbonation, long lasting semi bitter finish. Nice and drinkable, but i prefer my IIPA’s with more "upfront" hops. 110511

Bottle. It’s an almost clear copper colored beer with a small, off-white head. Fluorine, resins, caramel and malty sweetness on the nose. A quite harsh hoppyness that is. The flavor is pretty much the same, a harsh bitterness with fluorine and resins, and caramel and malty sweetness as a base. Medium to full body, and a nice bitterness in the finish. A decent beer indeed, but I dislike the harshness, and it’s not my idea of an imperial IPA. 091016

Bottled. A hazy deep red beer with a huge light tan head - seemingly a bit over carbonated. The aroma has notes of hop juice, and citrus fruits, as well as lighter notes of straw and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of citrusy hops making it very bitter, but also with notes of alcohol, caramel, and a bit of phenol, leading to a very bitter finish. A bit raw in its expression.
