A beautifully traditional dry stout, loaded with roasted barley and dark malts, combined with British hops for notes of fruity dark chocolate and roasted coffee beans, with a hint of tobacco.

440ml can shared with Bob, the can being a gift, drank at my place on 10th June 2025. Black bodied, tanned top. Malty with a Chocolate Fruit & Nut Bar sort of flavour, but not sweet or milky.

On tap at Wiper and True Bristol. Black beer lasting tan head. Bit fizzy lacks some body. But it's got some depth some dark chocolate some charcoal. It's a dry stout. I would expect a bit more body but otherwise it's ok. Some over carbonated acid on finish.

[44cl can from Beer52.] A peaty brown pour with a thin tan head; chocolate aroma with a hint of smoke; milky body with a dry chocolatey taste; and a pleasantly bitter finish with some toasted grains. A solid stout.

440ml can. Pours near black with beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, some liquorice, fruit cake, light smoke. Taste certainly has a roasty bitterness with smoke and dark fruit notes but also quite sweet towards the finish. Medium to full bodied. Somewhere in-between a dry and sweet stout; quite tasty.
