(Draught at Lord Nelson, Copenhagen, 18 Feb 2012) Reddish amber colour with brief head. Fruity, malty nose with red berries, caramel and orange peel. Fruity, malty taste with notes of citrus, red berries, hints of cherries and a mild, spicy bitterness. More than medium body, slightly sweet. Well balanced and quite tasty. A bit different, but it kind of grew on me. Nice one.

Hazy amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet fruity, caramel, yeasty and spicy. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Soft, refreshing and easy going. 181109

Sampled @ Copenhagen Beer Festival 2010. Dark orange with a fine off-white head. Aroma is fruity with hint of caramel. Flavor has a nice and balanced malt taste with fruit and a hint of caramel and spices. Moderate bitterness in the aftertaste. Quite nice.

bottle @ ekstra bladet juleølssmaging cloudy amber smooth offwhite head. looked like a real good barley wine. sourish aroma. berries. flavor is only slightly sourish berries, malts. quite refreshing. brewer told me the sourish or perhaps citrussy note was intentional, a hop/yeast combination play. a beer judge told me it is not infected. So the beer is okay. Stil makes me think of slightly infected beers anyway - but it was refreshing.

500ml bottle picked up at the Magasin du Nord store in Copenhagen. Pours an partly clear, amber body to a tiny, lasting white head. Snowy lacing. Very discreet aroma of spices like coriander. Sweet taste of honey, chocolate and caramel malts. Mostly hidden alcohol. In the direction of cloying sweetness on the swallow (Opera, hotel room 13.11.2010).

Bottle, 8.0%. Lagery aroma, hint of vegetable and spicy hops. Cloudy red/copper colour. Small frothy white head. The flavour is sweet and peppery. There is some dried fruit and a good amount of alcohol to balance. A little liquorice or aniseed in the finish. The carbonation is rather low, I would have preferred it a bit higher.

Draught@CPH BeerFest 2010. Golden colour, not much head. Aroma is fruits, glue, mild notes of herbs and earth. Flavour is fruits, some hops, earth, mild alcohol as well as some mild saltwatery notes. Balanced, but a bit boring.

Draught at Copenhagen Beer Festival. Pale amber, no head. Syrupy buttery nose. Sweetish with medium body and clean mouthfeel, Some toffee, not a lot of depth, low bitterness. Not outstanding.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma has notes of matl and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and spices.
