Bottle. No head whatsoever. Color is brown. Aroma is malt and caramel. Taste is sweet and a bit watery. Quite a bit carbonation.

Dark brown with a little red hew. Malty aroma and taste. Almost watery texture. Slight hoppy bitterness. I like this better than their pilsner because of the maltyness. OK

Bottle. Clear, dark brown colour. Small light brown head. Slightly more malty than a pils. A bit thin, but I guess there is a tiny hint of roasted malt.

(Bottle 33 cl) Comes as "Gamle Carlsberg". Clear, darkish brown with a small head. Malty, lightly sweet aroma. Very malt accentuated body, lovely roasted malt, but more dry and soft than sweet. Discret - yet present - bitterness. In a pub with only Carlsberg this is always my preference. 181201 (Bottle 33 cl) As "Carls Lager" 6/3/6/3/12= 3 090104

Sweet caramel nose, slight soap. Dark brown amber, low head. Can you talk about balance when there is not much substance? Thinbodied, boring.

A beutiful amber beer with a very nice aroma of sweet caramel. It has a very good balance between the sweetness of the malt and the bitternes of the hops. A very nice beer.

Historically interesting, but not a beer I'd choose for daily consumption. Rerate: I generally like Munich Dunkel, but this one is too bland. Would profit on a higher ABV.
