Delicious jellied fruit aromas blend perfectly with inviting roasted notes. The mouthfeel is succulent with dried fruit, malt and delicate hop bitterness. The finish is lingering and warm with fruit and malt notes.

Cask somewhere in Penzance. Clear amber body with a small white head. Not much aroma, very mild, slightly toasted malt. Flavor is very smooth and soft malt, hint of caramel, some kind of general fruitiness and mild, pleasant bitterness. A very decent classic Bitter. Fine balanced body and OK aftertaste. Classic.

Cask at the Half Moon, Windlesham, 27/07/13. Dark amber/light chestnut brown with a moderately sized beige head. Nose is bready malt, hop backnotes, light caramel, ribena berry notes, darker fruit tones. Taste comprises berry fruits, light sugar, touch of caramel/toffee, dark fruits, bready malts. Medium bodied, soft carbonation - this cask is on good form, light bitter notes in the finish. Decent fruity ESB, I’ll happily return to this number.
