This bitter was originally brewed to commemorate our original pub and brewhouse. It was so popular we kept on brewing it and made it a permanent member of our classic ale range. More bitter than Best, this refreshing beer is hopped using traditional Golding hops.
A bright amber bitter, well attenuated to give a crisp, refreshingly dry taste. The late and dry-hopping with Golding hops ensures a pronounced citrus fruit flavour and aroma.

Cask half-pint in The Hour Glass, Wycombe before Grimsby Town game on 13th Aug 2016. Dark amber pour, off-white head. Fruity hop nose and flavour over a decent malty backbone, good bitter finish. I was driving, otherwise there would have been more of this drank: nice session bitter.

Backlog. From cask at Navigation, Mirfield, on The Transpennine Real Ale Trail with KL and LH 09.05.15. Dark golden. Uneven, but persisten, off-white head and lacing. Moderate aroma, with hints of English hops and pale malt. Fruity and similar taste, also with tropical fruits. Low bitterness. A bit too fruity and with too little taste of malt.

Cask @ Navigation Tavern, Mirfield. Copper-amber with a thick creamy head. Small floral berry aroma but a neutral taste that’s maybe good for a session.
