A marvellously complex black beer. A mellow bitterness and subtle hop aroma balance the robust amber and roast malt flavours.

Cask, on gravity, at Tewkesbury Winter Beer Festival, 5/2/2016. Black in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Aroma of toasty malts, plain chocolate and leafy hops with some liquorice in the background. Flavour had more fruit, chocolate and a dryish finish. Enjoyable.
