Bottle at Zero, Kos. As Craft Smoked. Softly smoked with notes of caramel, malt, smoked wood, some dried fruits. Moderate sweet and light bitter. Pleasant smoked Amber, although I prefer a bit stronger smoke...

Bottle, 0.33l. Aroma is smoky, leathery, grassy and caramelly. Pours cloudy brown amber color with thin creamy tan-like head, yeast residue and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts medium sweet caramelly and toasted, following is smoky, leathery, floral and mild fruity, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is moderate bitter. Medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Decent ham companion…

Bottle. Unclear dark orange with a very small and short-lived white head. Aroma of malts and faint smoke. Taste of malts, bacon, bread and grains. Low bitterness. Medium carbonation. Light bodied. Ok but it would benefit if the smoke was more upfront.

Review for the past. From a store on Corfu. Poured a clear amber color, topped with a white head. Smoked malt in the aroma. Taste had some smokey feel and mild bitterness. It wasn’t that bad, as it seems from the notes.

500ml bottle served comfortably chilled in a tall Craft glass at Fat Snail Café in Rethymno. Clear amber coloured body with a slowly fading, off-white head. Dotted spots on the glassware. Plain and mild smoked malts to the nose. Smooth taste of caramel malts on a subdued backbone of bacon. Semi-sweet to the ending. Pretty straightforward, but quite nice (Rethymno, Crete 12.08.2012).

Flaske 0,33l. Gave fra Rune. Drukket hjemme 20 Aug 12. Gyldenbrun med et bra skum som varer og fester seg til glasset. God røykaroma. Lite kullsyre. Smaken er bare røyk med litt syrlighet i ettersmaken. Kjedelig.

Keg at Craft Brewery, Athens. It pours amber, with a thick yellow-white head. The nose is smoke, bonfire, burnt firewood, bbq and bacon. The taste is brown bread, yeast toasted malt, light metal, only a light smokiness, wood, earth and manure. Light to medium body and fairly high carbonation. Smells great, but taste doesn’t quite live up to it.

Pours amber with a short-lived, sudsy head.Nose shows some smoke with bacon characters, along with light fruity hops, bready malt and a soft cooked vegetable note.Flavours continue along those lines: bready, grainy malt with cardboard character, campfire smoke and a light fruity lilt towards the end.Very watery body.I prefer more sweet malt in my smoke beers.
