Birra Moretti La Rossa is a double malt beer produced using 100% high quality barley malt. This gives it a full, caramelised malt flavour and an intense aroma of roasted malt. Its distinctive amber colour originates from the type of malt used when brewing, a special malt which is dried and roasted.

(11/20/08) Bottle at an Italian restaurant near Chicago. Slightly hazy amber. Aroma of lots of malt, honey notes, caramel and toasty notes. Sweet malty flavor with caramel. Medium-bodied. Decent.

A definite surprise, most Italian beers Ive tasted have been light, and a little watered down, no wonder italy is known for its wine, not beer. found this in a restaurant last night, nice amber color and good sized head, really a nice bock, almost german tasting, very malty, not bitter like some of the reviews, very smooth.

Definite malt with a little toffee maybe? A slight fresh-bread feel, aromatic a little in nature. Peppery, spice-like feel to it as it warms

Way too sweet--tastes like medicine. Nice aroma and appearance. A bit oily in the palate. But cloying sweetness brings my overall rating down. A disappointment.

A golden copper ale with a thick creamy light moka head. A sweet caramel malt aroma, very pleasant. In mouth, a good burned caramel, malt, roasted barley, very rich in mouth. This is a very pleasant beer. Which they had this at the LCBO. Oktoberfest evening at Marc Grattonโ€™s, tasted on April 20 2007
