Gravity cask at the 31st Tamworth Beer Festival, Assembly Rooms Tamworth, day 2 - 05/09/2025.
Extremely dark mahogany brown to light black topped with a tan cap that veers to the edge.
Nose is mellow roast, earthy, charr, chocolate biscuit.
Taste comprises dried fruit rinds, light roast, toffee.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close.
Passable ... a little claggy.

Cask handpull at Lime Kiln Bristol. Dark ruby colour lasting beige head. A proper rye beer. Lots of rye flavour and spice. Good
Proper good chewy malt. Probably beer of the day. Excellent like a fruit cake in a glass

Cask-conditioned at the Old Spot, Dursley 28/6/2024. Dark brown in colour, with reddish undertones and a slight and creamy beige head. Earthy malts with a vaguely spicy edge, a slight fruitiness and crisp finish. Enjoyable.
