Can into glass. At Element Bar, Coffs Harbour. Black as midnight, large creamy head. Smells of dark roasted malt and nutmeg. A bit floral even. Light mouthfeel. Taste and finish is more coffee than egg nog but there is a lingering hint of sweet nutmeg. Nice stout but a bit light on in the eggnog department.

From a 375ml can on 26/11/2019. Pours the deepest brown with a small head. The nose gives you a bit of chocolate and vanilla. In the mouth, there's some chocolate sweetness up front, more vanilla in the middle, with the cinnamon and nutmeg in the background. Finishes with a reasonably assertive dry, spicy finish. The palate is slightly creamy and the carbonation moderate. Has a fair bit of character. Not bad at all.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a nice tan head, that starts off at about three centimetres in height and fades sort of quickly. Aroma of roasted malt, lactose, cream, pit fruits, raisins, figs, caramelised sugars and a heavy dose of nutmeg, canella and light spices. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong earthy and nutty malt flavours at first dominate with a dash of sweetness from chocolate, light coffee and caramel right behind, with a ton of lactose and full cream notes as well. Aftertaste is deep and robust with an earthy bite and a lot of the chocolate and roasted notes with a little less sweetness noticeable at the end. Overall, a good enough beer that shows a lot of character and depth with some lactose and nice spice notes that gives me a taste of the upcoming season in the Northern Hemisphere, while it is currently winter here! I sampled this 375 mL can purchased from BWS in Kirribilli, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia for AU$9,00 sampled in my hotel room a day later on 15-August-2019.
