22 oz bottle. Copper pour. Aroma is pine and citrus (nice grapefruit). The flavor is hoppy, and refreshing when consumed. The beer finishes quite well. A very solid IPA.

From bottle, no 8 at Papsoes blindtasting. Pours hazy orange and with a collapsing white head. Pineapple and grapefruit aroma, sweet and fruity citric. Dry hoppy and with slight liqourice note. Has a mild sweetness lingering in with the sweet and slight liqourice flavours. Ends with a mellow to dry bitterness. Has a continued sweetness following this.

(Bottle 65 cl) Hazy, deep golden with a lively, off-white head leaving some lacework. Sweetish aroma of citrus and pine. Medium body with a very solid base of sweet, pale malts and then these incredibly fresh notes of citrus and peach. The finish is lightly bitter. A very fresh IPA. 301107

Bomber pours a very nice crystal clear deep gold with lasting off white head. The aroma is sugar sweet malts and grapefruit hop bitterness and not much else. It could be more pungent. The taste has malty roasted sweetness with full grapefruit hop bitterness. Just a bitter hop bomb with mild malt sweetness. Nice flavor for the style. There is a lingering grapefruit and floral hoppiness that stays around for a while.

Aromas of citrus and pine. Where’s the purity? Slightly hazy golden color with a significant white head that does some lacing. Full mouthfeel. Starts with hop. Sort of resin followed by grapefruit. The malt is definitely second fiddle. The rest of the story is hop. Long hoppy finish. LIke it might never end. Every mouthfull is a burst of evergreen followed by citrus. Way cool. Seriously, it has a cooling effect in the mouth.

Aromas are wonderful of pine and grapefruit with a floral background. Color is amber/orange with a massive (insanely large) foamy head that is currently obstructing my path to the beer below. Although the hops are clearly dominant in the aroma, they are a little more subdued in the flavor where they blend very well with a creamy, caramel flavoring from malt. This is much sweeter flavored than I would have guessed and a very interesting take on the IPA genre in the US. It’s much creamier than most and has a very silky texture.

22 oz bomber Nose of hops, but not as much as the Hopsicle (My favorite IPA); hazy amber-gold with a small white head; flavor malty hops with some citrus notes, and a nice, hoppy finish. Underrated IPA!

Well, it sure looks purdy (cloudy straw color with substantial, foamy head) - kind of a light aroma of dandilions and grapefruit - a little bit of sweetness up front, followed by a very bitter citrus taste, giving the beers overall taste experience like that of eating a grapefruit with sugar sprinkled on it - weak in the finish - not all that great.

Bottle conditioned, medium filtration, ensures a large, densely bubbled off-white head that is well retained and never falls below an inch of head. Moderate lacing, light yeast haziness towards the bottom. Almost a five for me, yet the lacing is incomplete, and more importantly, the filtration is just a shade too much.
Initial munich and pale malts combine with light colombus and/or cascade hops to produce a resinous, candied orange aroma, with sharp pine notes gracing the nose as well as a plethora of fruits, differing as the temperature of the beer changes, but such things as mango, canteloupe, peaches, nectarines, tangerines, watermelon even. A lovely, spicy, fresh dill and lush, cut grass note rides alongside the fruits and resin, enhancing the complexity. After warming and breathing fully, the aroma really takes on a canteloupe, verging on watermelon-like note. Not quite as strong as DdC’s chaman, but similar.
The flavor begins fairly aggressively hopped, with juicy fruits adding playfulness, malts deepening and softening the bitterness and a finale of resin, oranges and notes of alcohol. The biscuity caravienne malts seem to create a drying effect, which, in concert with the spicy chinooks, balances the sweet malts nicely. Medium to heavy on the munich malt, and a fair amount of acid, which is never a good combo, but the soft texture and incredibly complex hop flavors fend off the duo. Appropriate, rather tight, bottle conditioned carbonation gives a creamy consistency. Full of quality ingredients, and lots of them. Alcohol is well-concealed, little to no yeast apparency.
