Crafted in collaboration with Horus Aged Ales, this bold and decadent English-style Barleywine was aged for 14 months in W.L. Weller Bourbon Barrels. Deep layers of crème brûlée, burnt sugar, and toffee meld with rich cacao, subtle cola, and a hint of Rolos, creating a luxurious, warming experience. Classic, refined, and unapologetically indulgent.

Dark brown, med head, this one’s a bit boozy, harsh that tries to cut through the rich sugars. There’s vanilla almost to marshmallow level, but it does feel rough.

Poured from a 375 ml bottle.
Aroma is malt forward with lots of caramel, toffee, tootsie rolls and toasted bread. Hints of burnt sugar, chocolate, raisin and prune. Medium light bourbon and alcohol notes with hints of oak.
Pours a darkish brown with lighter brown hues on the edges with a small, moderately thick, tan head that recedes quickly and disappears. No lacing and long legs.
Flavor is rather sweet with layers of caramel, toffee and tootsie rolls. Lighter notes of burnt sugar, molasses, chocolate and toasted bread. Light raisin and prune notes. Medium high bitterness and medium alcohol notes. Medium light bourbon and hints of oak.
Mouthfeel is full bodied and a bit sticky with low carbonation. Low astringency and moderate alcohol warmth.
Overall, a solid BA barleywine. Layers of sweet malt notes with some nice complexity. Bourbon and barrel character come through nicely. Perhaps a bit on the sweet side.

Draft. Black beer with a tan head. Bourbon and chocolate aroma. Big caramel flavor with bourbon and light chocolate. Medium-plus bodied. Big caramel lingers with bourbon and light vanilla.
