Sample at the brewpub. Pours a slightly cloudy orange color with a medium thin off-white head that dissipates steadily. Top ring of lacing with spots underneath. Caramel malt aroma with a touch of hops. Medium body with sweet malt and caramel flavors offset by floral hops. The finish is equally hoppy and malty with a light bitterness left behind. Pretty simple overall, but well executed.

Cask at Deschutes Brewery and Public House in Portland. Slightly cloudy deep copper color with lace. Light aroma of hops and a bit of caramel; fruity. Good malty flavor, with toffee, tobacco, and decent bittering hops. Rather light. Decent.

355ml bought at The USA bar, GBBF 09. Clear, dark orange coloured body. Fading off-white foam leaving fragile laceworks on the glass. Malt-fruity aroma. Spicy, leaf hoppiness in flavour along with sweet juicy malts. Crisp and soft in the mouth (hotel room, Earls Court 06.08.2009).

Bottle from GBBF 09. Clear orange copper thin off white head. Moderate hoppy aroma, some malts in the mouth, but again it is oxidised and not as fresh as it could be. Yes some malt, and some not very good yeast flavour, but I’m guessing this is due to it not being very fresh.

courtesy of goodzoid10. Pours amber with white head. Aroma of floral / grassy hops with notes of malts. Taste is hoppy, malty with a near sugary and buttery mouthfee. Very smooth with a light bitter finish. Alcohol seemed more pronounced than anticipated.l This is some excellent and well crafted beer.

Golden beer with orange shine, good yellowish head. Nice bitter nose, hoppy, fine noble hops. Fine bittery taste, some malt cookie sweetness, impression of corn. Medium bodied, slick. Warming up, the sample shows some oxidation. Very good golden ale.

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 27 Sep 2008) Amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with orange peel, blood oranges and caramel. Malty, fruity taste with notes of dried fruit, orange peel, blood oranges and earthy hops in the finish. Not very bold, but really tasty and fresh. Well made stuff.
