Full bodied with a nutty flavour. A beer from the past. 'That' is a chestnut coloured best bitter brewed with crystal malt to give a robust malt flavour. Challenger and Sovereign hops give a bitterness to balance any sweetness.

Bottle from Saucy Pears. Appearance - deep orange amber and cloudy with an attractive fluffy head. Nose - citrus and grass. Toffee at the back. Taste - toffee and apples. Biscuits.Persistent apple on the finish. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - That is a bit better than This in my opinion. I wonder if their Worcestershire hops are characterised by apples.

Bottle from Booths, Media City. Cloudy with a dirty amber-brown colour and a small head. Has a good malt hop balance but there’s nothing standout about this beer. It is however sessionable and is a good enough bitter to indulge in on an evening. Does not have a high bitterness.

Hazy amber beer, few pale cream colour bubbles not being a head. Palate is minerally crisp. Light thin malts, semi dry. Very modest hops, touch of citrus. Semi dry finish. Another very basic beer from this brewery, perfectly drinkable though.

500ml Bottle - Copper in colour. Biscuity malt, dried fruit and earthy hops in the aroma. Nicely balanced taste with notes of dried fruit and earthy hops combining nicely along with some biscuity malt in the finish.

500ml bottle from Booths, Preston. Pours chestnut brown with a decent off-white head. Aromas of caramel malt and grassy hops. Decent amount of nuttiness comes through as promised. Medium bodied, good carbonation and lacing. Bitter finish. Decent brown beer.
