Bottle, 10.5%. OK malty aroma. Clear brown colour. Big tan head, quite unstable. The flavour is very malty and nicely so. Quite caramelly with a finish going towards dry. The alcohol is quite clear in the finish, not exactly pleasant, but balances off the sweetness OK.

Bottled (thanks fonefan!). Rubyish amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is raisins, white wine, some vanilla and some nuttyness. Flavour is alcohol, toffee, raisins, very big on the nuttyness as well as vanilla and wood. Strong, but very nicely balanced brew.

Bottled. A chestnut colored beer with a bubbly tan head. The aroma has notes of caramel, malt, nuts, and some alcohol. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of caramel and alcohol, but also medium notes of malt, bread, and nuts, leading to a dry alcoholic finish with a light bitterness. The mouthfeel is very sparkling.

On tap at European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. It poured a clear, copper body under a small, off-white head. Alcohol, caramel, some dried fruits, malty sweetness and some caramelized sugar, butter and nuts. (krokan in Norwegian) Malty-sweet flavor with dried fruitsm some alcohol and bitterness. Warming, full-bodied and with a nice level of carbonation. Long sweet, malty finish with some alcohol. Not a Christmas beer to go with the dinner, but would go nicely with the dried fruits, nuts and other snacks, or on its own. (080913)

66cl bottle. Amber with a reddish hew & a small creamy head. The aroma is nice. Very vinous, toffee/caramel & dark fruits. Medium & smooth palate. Taste has a metallic scent & is rather harsh/sharp - lots of alcohol. A sipper for sure & ok drinkable!
