HISTORY
In 1998 Rogue Brewmaster John Maier created an Irish style lager that would float Guinness. It took four batches to get it just right. John used acidulated malts imported from Europe that resulted in a crisp, apple flavor profile. The bottle label displays a famous Irish Flutist.

Draught. Yellow, some grass etc. I guess this is how Rogue would make a harp if it tried. Kind of boring.

Bottle. I was disappointed in this beer. It just didn’t have anything that seem to make it special. Pale gold color. Flavor was bitter but not in a floral type bitter, more of a metal tasting bitter, slight sweet aftertaste. Aroma, was hay, grass, dough. Just ok.

crystal clear yellow/gold pour with a light fluffy white head. Aroma is quite faint, there are touches of hops, and some minimal malts with a little bit of apple. Flavor is a touch malty, with a little bit of flowery hops, and again a apple like finish. Its not a bad lager, but i would have liked it to be a little maltier.
Meh. Flat. Not sure why it's Irish style either.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber red with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of sweet grains with a bit of bread and some earthiness. Flavor has sweet grains and sweet bread and a touch of toffee.

Draft. A- Grains, wheat, watery. A- Golden color, clear liquid, white head. T- Grains, corn, subtle citrus, malty, wheat. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, boring finish. O- Pretty average. Not much going on in it and it just isn’t memorable.

From Mar 2006
Poured from bottle(room temp) a clear medium gold with a large head of foam that dissipated slowly.
The smell is of sweet malt. Kind of typical of a macro lager.
The taste is also of sweet malt but there's a sourness there as well that does nothing to help with the taste of this lager. I find it *very* ordinary and I'm a *big* fan of Rogue products so there is *no* anti bias associated with this review.
Bottom line: It's a Rogue product but don't let their reputation sway you into trying this lager. It's just not worth it.

At Hangar on the wharf. Bottle.
The appearance was a nice looking hazy golden yellow with a soft carbonation rising into a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute leaving some neatly coated looking lacing.
The smell definitely had the German pilsener malts making up the majority of the aroma but still letting in an adequate amount of sweet bread.
The taste was mainly the same with a decent quick crisp sweet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it. The carbonation was good for the style and pretty good to me.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good premium beer I’d have again.

Bottle - etched glass - backlog. Pours gold with white head. Nose/taste of grass, yeast and light bready malt. Lighter medium body.

From bomber to pint glass. Pours a clear light gold with full, fluffy white head. Both aroma and flavor are grainy malt with slight hay and lemon. Finishes dry and crisp.
