Nuplastikk hooked me up with this 12oz bottle. Thanks Greg! Pours watery although dangerously opaque black with a thin, creamy, slightly beige head. Aroma is big on the lacto-sugars, coffee with cream, very dark malts, nuts, nearly burnt toast. The flavor is very nice, toasted whole grain bread, nuts, coffee grounds, a little molasses, roasted peanuts. Finish is sweet, silky, creamy, with some lasting toastiness. This is a very well malt milk stout. Some milk stouts kill the flavor and mouthfeel with too much lacto, but this is right on the money. Everything works in collaboration.

Draft at the OF. Big and sweet chocolate aroma. Patchy soapy head. beigish. Lots of oatmeal and lactose in the taste, capturing the essence of the style quite nicely. Rich and full bodied. Almost a touch sour and pungent, in a true to style way. Excellent.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and light notes of chocolate. The flavor is acidic malty combined with notes of roasted malt and chocolate, leading to a dry, acidic, and roasted finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Courtesy of SeaBass. Pours dark brown with thin tan head. The aroma is roasty malts, some oak, pine hops, burnt malts and black licorice. Seems like a hodgepodge of notes but they seem to come together for a pleasing aromatic quality. The taste feels thin to start bringing in notes of nearly burnt malts, mild roasted malt astringency and very mild lactose. It ends with solid roasted malt notes.

courtesy of abends. pours dark brown with off white head. Aroma of roasted malts and coffee with light presence of dark fruits. Taste is similar to aroma, roasted malts, light coffee and sweet (lactose) palate. Overall palate is thin bodied with ever presence of malts and faint hops in the finish.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Skyview. Pours a hazy and opaque orangey brown with a tall, rough and bubbly beige head. Aroma of roasted malt. Medium body with a heavy carbonation and an underlying acidity that indicates an infection. Lightly burned malt bitterness in the finish. 220808
