Cask at the Lamb & Flag, Covent Garden. It pours clear golden with a small white head. The aroma is soft, light, airy, zingy, tangy, lemon - lime, grapefruit and floral accents. The taste follows a similar path... it's crisp, dry toasty grains, lemon - lime, fragrant florals, elderflower, clean and mellow with a dry finish. Light body and fine carbonation. Super easy going and quenching.

Pint at the Parcel Yard in King's Cross while waiting for s delayed train. Served a bit too warm which meant the taste lead with cardboard and a hint of vomit. Otherwise really watery and not great at all. This needs to be served really well chilled to work. We went to the station cocktail bar after this and I had a Negroni that took my head off. I felt much better after that.

Cask at signal box Euston. A clear pale gold, dull coloured pour with a loose white head. Aroma is semi sweet, light stale grains, grassy hop, honey light veg. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, nutty twiggy malts, stale bread, light veg, chalky, light tangy dried fruits. Meh. Palate is semi sweet, light tang, ok.

Pours a clear yellow golden color, topped with small white head. Malty aroma with grassy hops and some spices and herbs present in the back. Taste is similar, malty a bit grassy with medium bitterness in the finish. A decent one.

This beer was brewed again for the 2011 Sainsburyโs beer comp (it didnโt win): brown 500ml bottle, best before 30 Dec 2011, drank Oct 2011. Poured into a UK pint sleeve. Lager looking golden body with very little head. The bottle label asked for the beer to be served chilled, unusual for a British ale, I chilled it as requested. Saaz hops dominated the smell, some cereal odours too (barley and wheat used in the brew). The taste had a sharp hop bitterness with no malt content showing throughout the pint in smell or flavour. A true summery beer, not really my sort, but OK if you like light bodied ales that lean more towards hops than malts.

Bottled, 0.5l. Pours clear golden with average frothy white head and fizzy carbonation. Malty aroma with some yeasty notes. refreshing lightly fruity and sour taste, but relatively dry. Pleasant bitter aftertaste. Light to medium bodied with thin texture and moderate carbonation in palate. Not bad at all.
