Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol 19/11/08. Deep golden in colour with a decent, off-white head. Aroma of summer fruits with plenty of citrus hops. Flavour was well-balanced, with some biscuit malts, fruitiness and plenty of juicy hops, leading to a nice dry finish. Highly drinkable.

Cask (handpump) @ Great British Beer Festival, GBBF 2008, Earls Court, London, England SW5.Clear light to medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, moderate to light heavy hoppy, citrus, lemon. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, refreshing. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. (080808)

Cask, 4.2% at GBBF08. Weak but OK fruit aroma. Clear golden colour. OK fruit flavour. Very low carbonation.

Cloudy golden with medium white off white head. Sweet fruity aroma with floral and caramel notes. Sweet flavor with fruity, mild hoppy and caramel notes. Ends bitter.

Half pint, cask at Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Dark orange coloured body without a head, but some lacing on the glass. Light hoppy aroma. Grapefruit in aroma followed by bitter malts. Crispy palate (Sunday afternoon, 16.03.2008).

Cask at Willow Walk (JDW) London SW1 5 Feb 08. Golden colored. A small layer-head. Inviting chewing-gum aroma. Fruity flavor. Modest bitter finish. OK.

Cask@GBBF2007. Golden colour, mediumsized creamy white head. Aroma is fruit, yeast and some wood. Flavour is fruity, hoppy and quite wellbalanced, but sadly a bit watery and empty.

Had this straight out of the barrel at the Vale Brewery 16-02-07 (apparently only the second non -brewery person to try this new beer from Vale) This beer poured a golden colour, was wonderfully refreshing and very crisp brewed with Amarillo hops but much lighter and more bitter than Crouch Vale Amarillo which Iād also had this week. This still had that familiar Vale feel about it but Iām really glad they gone for something different like this, a lovely beer.
