Cask at the Cherub, Dartmouth, 28/08/21. Clear dark amber copper with a decent light beige head that stays for the show ... good lacing ensues. Nose is dark malts, dried fruit rinds, brown bread, light nutty essence. Taste comprises fruit slice, dates, toffee, brown bread, dates, biscuits. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close. Decent bitter ... can't see why this one scores sub 3!?!

Two hand-pulled pints in The Mitre, Witheridge, Devon on 13th August 2021. Watched the landlord pull it through, so knew it was fresh on (in fact I had the third and sixth pint out of the cask). Deep golden amber body, clean and clear; weak, short lasting white head. Malty brew with a hint of bitterness towards the finish. My sweet tooth liked it.
