500ml bottle conditioned, poured carefully into a UK pint sleeve at home on 28th Sep 2015: thanks son for this present. Very slight haze in the light ’old gold’ body, the head a deep white blanket of foam. Light malts in the nose, hops ruling the bitter and dry fruity taste. Orange like flavours take over mid-sip before the dry bitterness re-appears in the finish. A bit ’lively’ for a bottle conditioned brew but a decent beer and one I would be happy to try again.

From minicask I believe courtesy of tenting neighbours ’Spud’ and his partner, Spud works for Pitfield I believe, cheers Spud! Consumed stood outside Frank at Truck Festival, Steventon, Oxon 19.07.13 Pours warm gold in colour, hops are a little grassy, overall this is perhaps a touch thin, sweet but with a late dryness. Suffers a little from being too warm but clearly in this heat there is very little that can be done about that. It is a simple, uncomplicated, fairly average bitter but it is absolutely fine.
