Brown with a small off-white head. Malty and fruity aroma with a faint roasted note. Dry and malty flavour with a fruity softness, and a nice roasted finish.

Cask (gravity) @ Great British Beer Festival, GBBF 2008, Earls Court, London, England SW5.Clear light to medium brown color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. (060808)

Coal-black body with ruby highlights. Topped by a thin ring of off-white bubbles. Malt-fruity profile. Dark fruity flavoured with roasted notes. Rounded bitterness to the finish (third pint, gravicask at GBBF, 06.08.2008).

(Cask at GBBF, London, 6 Aug 2008) Dark brown colour with brief, beige head. Malty nose with notes of chocolate, toffee and cola. Malty, nutty taste with chocolate and dried fruit. Slightly roasted with a nutty malt sweetnees throughout. Decent but hardly exciting.

Cask@GBBF2008. Deep amber colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is mildly roasted malts, vanilla, oak and mild spices. Flavour is wooden hops along with some strawy, hay and mild grassyness. Hay and wood in the aftertaste.

Cask at GBBF 08. Very dark brown, ruby, thin beige head. Good dry malt aroma. It’s a bit like a best bitter/ESB really. Fine, body lacks a bit, but OK.

Hazy brown with tiny off white. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, caramel and hoppy notes. Sweet flavor with caramel roasted malt and hops that gives it a bitter end.

on tap-pours a patchy tan head that laces with cloudy brown/orange color. Aroma is sweet dark malt-bitter chocolate. Taste is sweet dark malt-chocolate/caramel/nutty, English earthy hops bite. OK carbonation.
