A really nice pale ale. Poured a rich amber hue with a short but thick head. Nice hoppy and sweet-smelling head. The taste was also quite sweet, much sweeter than any pale ale I’ve ever tried. It was really, really good. Incredibly smooth and delicious.

Cask (gravity) @ Great British Beer Festival, GBBF 2008, Earls Court, London, England SW5.Clear medium amber orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, grapefruit, orange. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (050808)

Pours amber with a light, white head. Pleasnet hops in the aroma. Floral, citrus, with some herbal notes. Light malts, also. Flavor is similar to the aroma finishing nicely bitter. Crisp, lightly dry body. Very well made APA, I’d love to have mroe.

(Cask at GBBF, London, 5 Aug 2008) Amber colour with brief, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with distinct notes of citrus and pine needles. Fruity, hoppy taste with lemon, grapefruit, pine needles and resin. Distinct hoppy finish. Goes very much in one direction, but for me it’s the right one. Very nice beer.

Cask@GBBF2008. Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is nuts, hops, alcohol and some mild notes of glue. Flavour is hoppy, grassy, and also quite lots of pine/apricot and mild fudgeish sweetness. Bitter and dry finish.

Clear nutty brown color, small white head, lace. Nutty, hoppy aroma. Also flavor is quite similar: aromatic and nutty hops dominate the flavor. Starts a bit watery, then through pale malts it goes to hoppy finish. A ok.

Draft. Hoppy, crisp and drinkable APA. Golden body with a slight off-white head. The aroma is not in your face, but does give you citrus, pine and more than a hint of flowers. Some caramel in the background. The flavor is lightly to moderately bitter and lightly to moderately sweet. The medium body has a watery texture. Bitter, floral aftertaste. Very drinkable.
