Dead Rise was brewed to highlight the indelible character of Old Bay through bright and refreshing citrus hop notes and a crisp tart finish. Our brewers worked with the spice experts at Old Bay for over six months to develop the recipe and craft a beer that will quickly earn its spot alongside the iconic yellow, blue, and red tin.

I wanted to like this but I bought six and now I own 60 Oz of american pale ale with a spoonful of old bay. Salty as hell. Good try?

Maybe useful for cooking? I don’t know

Bottle at home. Aroma is pale malt, grainy, a mixture of various spices such as black pepper, nutmeg, et cetera. Flavour islight to moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Body is medium. Not my kind of beer, quite spiced, but certainly drinkable.

Bottle. A- Old Bay, mild lemon. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Old Bay, citrus. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, heavily spiced finish. O- A novelty beer but glad to have tried it. Courtesy of my stepmom...a new beer is a new beer. Definitely smells and tastes of Old Bay seasoning. I can't help but think I should've paired this with some shrimp tacos or used a portion of it as a fish fry batter and only drank about 4 oz. Not bad considering what it is but not a beer I am drinking pints of for refreshment. Unique to say the very least. One of those beers that is truly hard to score.

7 month old bottle A: Poured hard to a big fluffy head that held well leaving thick clumps of lace.Mostly clear deep yellow with big active bubbles. S: Grains, leafy herbal hops and some lemon noticed later. Smells almost like an AAL except faint peppery spice pops from the foam. T: Bitter herbal hops hit first, joined by crackery malts and finally a hint of lemon zest. Spices are very subtle and blend nicely with the cracker and lemon aspects. M: Medium light, well carbonated and easy drinking. O: I like it. Must be fantastic paired with any simply cooked seafood. I must try it fresh.

Bottle, courtesy of makuun through ELS, many thanks! Pours cloudy yellow. Aroma is burnt bread, banana, spray deodorant, citric hops. Body is medium, quite hoppy and bitter, lively almost fizzy carbonation. Dominant bitterness over not soo much else. What herbs should be in this?
