Bottle from Beers of Europe, Kings Lynn. Poured clear golden amber with a small bubbly / frothy off-white head. Aroma was hoppy, citrus, grass and a little plastic. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness and body. Not HD's best.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - cloudy amber. Thin head. Nose - grass and orange. Taste - hay, resin and some orange again. A bit astringent maybe. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy yet dry middle. Dry finish just falling short of astringent. Overall - solid enough. Generous but a bit challenging.

500ml bottle. Cloudy golden colour with very small, frothy to macropore, diminishing, minimally lacing, white head. Grainy aroma, a herbal note with laurel touch. Taste is dry, grainy, bready, a laurel note in the background.

Cask at The Maypole, Cambridge. Clear straw coloured pour with a thin glass hugging head. Lovely fruity aroma with a nice spicy bitter malty taste with citrus notes. A superb ale.

500ml Bottle conditioned: best before Mar 2013, poured at home into an Abbot Ale glass tankard. Named after a Steam Train: doesn’t look like one! Light, but dirty golden body with a hint of haze (I left the sediment in the bottle, or thought I did). A full head of white foam sat on top. The nose was of pines and floral hops: no malt content found in the aromas. The hops also rule the taste: dry bitter start and finish with a trace of maltiness mid-sip. Refreshing feel to the flavour and body, this is an easy drinking hoppy brew that should get more press.

Cloudy amber beer. No real head because no carbonation! Semi dry palate, a little crisp. Dry malt, a little wheaty. Trace of caramel. Bitterish orange finishes things off. Would have passed muster with some carbonation!

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of yeast, medium notes of citrus fruits, and light notes of phenol. The flavor is sweet and acidic with notes of fruit, elderflowers, and lemongrass, leading to a lightly tart finish. Thanks fonefan for sharing.
