9th April 2015: gravity pour at the Isle of Man CAMRA beer festival. Bland and strange, amber in colour with a wispy white top. Didn’t get the veg and cat food aromas (luckily) others have mentioned, but I did not take to what smells and flavours it did have. Mild malt taste with a mini-sweetness throughout, nothing else to report.

Cask (handpump) @ Devonshire Cat, Sheffield. Bedfordshire England S3 8GG.Clear light to medium yellow orange color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, marzipan. Flavor is light to moderate sweet with a average duration. Borring !! Body is medium to light, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is flat to soft. (Cask at Wenlock Arms, London, 23 Nov) Pale amber/orange colour with small head. Fruity nose with apricots, slightly sweetish. Fruity taste with apricots and marmalade. A bit sweetish, but with a fairly nice hop taste in the finish. Goes down easy, but not really exciting.

Cask handpull at The Wenlock Arms, London. Mid gold colour, bubbly off white head. Bit of farty yeast. Nutty malt, some toffee in mouth. Faint hop on end. Some dryness. Not sure it knows what it wants to be.
